Not all the Worker Placement looks the same! #boardgameoftheday

153/365: Wondrous Creatures by BAD COMET GAMES

Our friend Gunho and his team surprise us with something new and refreshing every time around.
The first thing that stands out when you're setting up this game is the incredible meeples of the steeds and the captains who ride them. Then you pick up the cards of the abundance of creatures you can find in the game and you're amazed by their incredible illustration!

After that, of course, you begin the game and immediately realize that placing your meeples in two different hexes instead of one makes the game interesting and unlike anything else you have played until that point!

Summer is at the door, and it's getting hot in here! #boardgameoftheday

152/365: Combo Cone Paradise by Mercat Games

Long ago we came across a sign that read: "Money can't buy happiness, but it can buy Ice Cream, and that's basically the same thing!"
So what about games with fresh cones, where your only goal is to stack flavorful scoop on top of flavorful scoop, satisfying your customer's orders as best you can?

The game is incredibly simple and you can play it with everyone while waiting for your Ice Cream to be served!

So now tell us, what is your favorite flavor?

A big box filled with endless fun? #boardgameoftheday

151/365: Monster Pit by Elzra Games

First of all this box is huge! You can recognize the unique art style of Kwanchai Moriya (Cryptid, Under Falling Skies, Dinosaur Island and many others) as soon as you lay eyes on the cover.

Monster Pit is a cooperative game involving tableau building, dice drafting, and hand management. Even if you could mistake it for one, this is not a Tower Defense title, but much much more!

You need to try it!

Tritons trying to imitate human society? What can go wrong? #boardgameoftheday

150/365: Riverbed Hunt by Odd Statue Games

We love this game for two distinct reasons: 1) It's simple and fun to play and, 2) you can draw parallels between it and society.

What happens when a new culture gets exposed to capitalism? First, you will see an increase in exploitation of natural resources, the desire of gold will make everyone greedy and factions will start to emerge and fight each other on what is right and what is wrong.

And of course someone will try to maneuver through the factions in order to profit from both...

Yes, this is exactly what Riverbed Hunt is about!

Satisfy powerful Japanese families with your tributary objects! #boardgameoftheday

149/365: HANIWA by Musoka Studio

You know we love games full of surprises. HANIWA is one of those: first of all the art is incredible and unique. The design and rules are also incredibly clever. It's much more than a simple Tile Placement title. You will have to play it to understand what we mean.

Even though this game comes from Japan, its original publisher will be Musoka, a young French publishing house that keeps an eye out for the future of games!
